The Vision of the Building and Construction Training Fund
“A highly productive, attractive and cohesive construction industry”

A New Beginning

The Building and Construction Training Fund (BCTF) was formed out of the transfer of all the activities of the Building and Construction Industry Organisation (BCITO) in line with the Review of Vocational Education (RoVE).

Purpose

BCTF’s purpose is to

“Empower enriched skills, training, education and career pathways in the construction industry”

How will BCTF provide support?

The Board of the BCTF are currently developing a number of strategic objectives/outcomes that will:

  • Provide real support to the construction industry at all levels.
  • Lift business and leadership capability in the sector
  • Support the move toward one unified industry operating stronger together.
  • Capture opportunities that are good for industry and if relevant transformational.
  • Support inspirational career pathways.
  • Become a visible and respected voice of training in the construction industry.

BCTF recognize that that there are many outstanding training activities provided by its association members across building and construction and it is important that these initiatives are not duplicated.

As the strategic objectives are developed by the BCTF Board these will be shared with the industry including areas and methods of industry support that have been identified.
